Fall is Here! Where am I?
It is glorious Fall, with the trees putting on their party gowns of red and gold. After 16 months of no employment, having started my new job on Sept. 7th, I believe I am glowing in my party colors as well. Work is going well: I love being a part of green technology and learning the myriad of new things my position brings me. I also have a janitorial part time job on Saturdays now. It is wonderful to feel needed and contributing again. The only sad part for me is losing touch with the many friends I made while I was home and online for hours each day.
The time I have available to email friends, tweet on twitter, or post to Facebook has dwindled dramatically. This is good and bad, of course. I have to prioritize the time that is not dedicated to work. Definitely not the exercise in futility that you might think it would be. Case in point, I am using my blog to update everyone instead of doing individual emails that would all say the same thing.
My youngest daughter, Jessy, is now full term in her pregnancy according to her doctors. She can deliver Baylee Anne anytime between now and her due date of Nov. 2nd. She is experiencing Braxton Hicks http://www.babycenter.com/0_braxton-hicks-contractions_156.bc more frequently. Due to having Gestational Diabetes, her pregnancy has been monitored very closely the last few months. I am pleased to report her weight gain is 30-35 lbs. and she is doing very well in giving Baylee the best start in life that she can provide.
That said, here is my 'Biggest News': I have bought my plane tickets to be in North Caroline during Thanksgiving week so I can meet my newest granddaughter! I am so excited! I know I will have to stay content and be patient once Baylee is born. Of course, I will be anxious to hold her and love on her at that time … but knowing that it will be soon after her birth will help me immensely not to be disappointed I can't be there for Jessy's labor and delivery.
What a blessing: employed by a great company that generously gave us 40 hours vacation in our first year! On our two-year employment anniversary date, we will each be eligible for 80 hours! When God puts you in the workplace He wants you to be in, the blessings continue to flow! He continues to prove His love for me every day. I love Him so much: not for what He does for me or gives me – but because He loved me first and best! God has been so good to bring friends like you into my life: to help along the journey, share the good and bad times, and enrich my life each and every day!
Thank you, friends, for honoring me with your love and friendship. I promise not to take any of you for granted!
Have a blessed day!

ReplyDeleteSo wonderful to read. It IS hard to stay in touch with such busy schedules. I'm thrilled for you that you're surrounded by so many good things.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris :-)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely trying to stay in touch and I know it is as challenging for you as for me! Still, at least everyone knows they are in my thoughts and prayers ... even if it is a while between communiques ;-)
